Earlier this year, we interviewed Didrik Ytterdahl from Overhalla Betongbygg to gain a deeper understanding of how we as a system supplier have helped to make them a reliable and preferred supplier.
“What challenges does build help you solve?”
“Oi! Where do we start? The system opens up more possibilities and solutions to the challenges we have had and struggled with. Previously, we used a system that did not have updated prices, for example. This led to less accuracy and more manual work.
build also eliminates errors that can easily occur in Excel, which we have used before. Formula errors that occurred in the calculations have now disappeared!”What is the best thing about the system from buildit?
"The best part? It's a bit two-fold. On the one hand, I would say that the system is very good for contractors who sell services, as it is a template system that provides control over templates and content that can be easily revised.
On the other hand, the system is very good for those "on the back end". Namely, those who have to ensure maintenance of the actual items in the calculation, on elements and raw materials. The system simplifies this process and makes it very simple, which is why we prefer their costing system."What, if any, challenges have you encountered when using the system from buildit?
“There is something, but of course that will always come when you change system suppliers, and we also come in with our own mistakes. But if there is one thing we want to pick at, it is the reports – there is potential for improvement there.
In the build system, you can retrieve the completed reports, but we have structured it a little differently. When we did it this way, it didn't work quite as we had envisioned, but over time we have initiated a process that has ensured that we are satisfied here too!How do you experience buildit as a supplier?
“Very service-minded! Just the fact that you meet our wishes and try to go the extra mile so that we as customers are satisfied. Whether it's small or large, we are met with the same attitude. We have developed a personal relationship with buildit, and get answers almost within the minute. “
